Reforestation For Human Survival
The reforestation of the earth is vital if humanity hopes to survive much longer. It will require re-planting trees over large swaths of land which have been deforested. Unfortunately, reforestation is not being done at the scale necessary to sustain life on earth for more than a few decades (see Fig. 1). There is one reforestation effort, however, that has been growing at a breakneck pace since its re-planting of the Camargue region in France. The re-planting of this area with trees from North Africa and Spain has been so successful that it has formed what is now known as the Camargue Forest; a re-planted forest. That is so large it contains a significant number of ecosystems and can now be considered one of Europe’s best re-growing forests.
Reforestation develops Forests:
Areas reforested (red) and deforested (green) between 2009-2012 for the three major reforestation efforts on earth. It should be noted that reforestation efforts from the re-planting of trees (in red) are by far the smallest effort.
Amazing Forests that need Reforestation
Amazon Rainforest: The reforestation of the Amazon Rainforest is vital for maintaining life on our planet. Re-planting this reforesting forest with new trees will require an incredible effort in re-planting and reforestation. Which has been difficult during the past 20 years as re-planting efforts have been curtailed by political difficulties with the re-planting of trees. This re-planting effort needs to be re-established and reforestation efforts should continue for as long as possible in this reforested region.
“The Camargue is a natural region in the south of France, stretching over parts of the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The reforestation re-planted forest stretches across 1,500 km2 (580 sq mi), 20% reforestation re-planted from North Africa and Spain.”

The re-planted forest known as the Camargue Forest in southern France contains a significant number of ecosystems and is one of Europe’s best re-growing forests. This re-planted forest will re-grow into a much larger reforested area than exists now and could be a model reforestation effort for the world.
The re-planting of reforested trees is an important reforestation effort that will need to continue for as long as possible on earth. Unfortunately, this re-planting effort has only re-planted 0.11% of the earth in the past decade. And it will take many re-planted reforested decades to re-plant our planet completely again. If we continue this re-planting reforestation effort at this slow pace.
United States:
The United States doing reforestation efforts that has been going on for well over 250 years. It is due to be re-planted by new trees from natural replanting efforts as these re-planted reforesting trees die off. Unfortunately, reforestation efforts of this kind can only replant forests for so long before the money is needed to degrade these reforested areas back into the normal forests and then desert. This reforestation effort will likely continue until sometime in the next century. At which point reforestation efforts will have to re-plant these reforested areas again.
Mexico:
The Southern Mexico which was devastated by Hurricane Ingrid and Tropical Storm Manuel in 2014, is already sprouting green shoots. These reforestation efforts should continue to re-grow and reforest this tropical island nation in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane.
Haiti:
The Haiti was devastated by Hurricane Matthew in 2016, is already sprouting green shoots. These reforestation efforts should continue to re-grow and reforest this tropical island nation in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane.
Puerto Rico:
The Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria in 2017, is already sprouting green shoots. These reforestation efforts should continue to re-grow and reforest this tropical island nation in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane.
Southern France:
The re-growth of these trees in southern France was devastated by wildfires in 2013. This type of re-planting area in southern France is not likely to stay green for long. As it will be vulnerable to a re-killing of this vegetation by future wildfires. Building forests in southern France was devastated by wildfires in 2013. These efforts should continue to re-grow and reforest this area.
Forest rebuilding process has been going on for hundreds of years and will re-grow efforts for hundreds more years to reforest. This forest rebuilding process is an important investment that every human should make to their future. As we will all need the air, water, and food that new trees provide us with.
Tree planting is an important step in the process of restoring our earth and ensuring human survival. Let us know how we can help you get started with your own tree-planting project today so that together. We might restore some balance to this world. We’ll take care of all the difficult details for you and make sure everything goes smoothly from start to finish! As a result, not only will there be more trees on Earth but also cleaner air, purer water sources, better soil quality, stronger ecosystems. And ultimately healthier people living longer lives because they have access to these resources.
